The Research Process: From Idea to Publication
The research process can seem daunting, particularly for qualitative researchers. Qualitative research data is messy and figuring out how to contextualize your data once it is collected and turn it into an article for submission isn’t always a straight-forward process.Alesha Doan, associate professor of women, gender & sexuality studies and public affairs & administration, will discuss her study with Shannon Portillo, “Not a Woman, but a Soldier: Exploring Identity Through Translocational Positionality.” She will spend a few minutes contextualizing the data she collected, then spend the majority of her time answering questions on the process.
